Our Team
Kim
Kim is our encyclopedia of Title knowledge. Her husband’s engineering job at Grote Industries brought her to Madison in 1995.
After growing up in LaGrange, Indiana, Madison was more than double the size of her hometown. It also has much less snow, ice and subzero temperatures. It didn’t take her long to realize that Madison was where she wanted to put down roots and raise a family.
She was hired at Jefferson County Land Title in 1996, after graduating from Ball State University with a B.S. in Political Science and a second B.S. in Legal Administration.
The small size of the business allowed exposure to all aspects of the title business and the owners, Tony Castor & Janet Castor, made a commitment to teaching her anything she wanted to learn. In 2014, she was able to purchase the company and the building.
She has a wealth of knowledge, gleaned from her years insuring Titles in Jefferson County, and a knack for explaining complex Title issues.
She’s seen it all. She’s done it all. She’s solved it all.
Dana
Dana brings a wealth of experience in the legal field in Jefferson County to our office. She has worked for and with a few lawyers in Madison over the years.
She's one smart cookie and she makes sure her closings run ship-shape and Bristol fashion. Her memory is excellent and we're pretty sure she knows everyone.
She's also an avid baker and her cakes are absolutely fabulous. From time to time she spoils us and brings things into the office. We have three coffee fans in the office, but she is the queen, by far.
Dana works both for the title company and for Anthony Castor's law office, so if you need answers from either one, she knows all.
Debbie
Debbie Bayne joined our team in 2019 and quickly became an invaluable asset, keeping our systems clicking along smartly, and making sure all our paperwork has dotted i's and crossed t's.
Don't let her fool you; she'll insist that we could get along without her, but we are quite sure we don't know how we ever did.
She won't let us post her picture, but we love her anyway!
Susan
Want to know if that property you're eyeing has any skeletons in its proverbial closets? Meet Susan. She is our Title Researcher, pun enthusiast and resident nerd.
You will often find her in the back room digging around in the decades of records that make up our title plant or sometimes running (literally) to the courthouse to verify the information for a search.
When she joined the company in 2017, this mother of two was just looking for a little part-time work and adult conversation, but she has made it her mission to become an expert in legal descriptions and the property histories of Jefferson County. She loves a challenge.
She has been known to whistle while she works. And she promises she is not ignoring you but she "may be focused on something right this minute."
